Trader Joe’s is releasing a new limited edition that has already gone viral


Trader Joe’s has a new bag this holiday season.

The new, limited-edition stand-up, stackable grocery store retails for $3.99 each and is already eligible hype of its predecessors.

“It’s so good,” says TikTok user @_jessiechoi in a video shared on social media. “There’s so much here.”

She then demonstrates that she has an egg carton with lots of other groceries before taking a wide shot of how big and sturdy the bag is.

“You have places to go, people to look at, and, most likely, things to take with you,” Trader Joe’s website says of the bag. “It’s one of the reasons we’ve put so much effort into creating fun and functional reusable bags over the years (and inadvertently created a few crazy Mini Totes…)”

According to the grocer, the bag stands up on its own, helping to store items in cars, buses and even bicycle baskets. It then folds up for storage when not in use.

Along with the TikTok video, the bag news too making the rounds on reddit and Instagram.

“A beautiful folding bag that’s perfect for keeping all your groceries safe” – Trader Joe’s fan page @trader_joes_treasure_hunt said on Instagram. “Buy or refuse!?”

The bag was made for Trader Joe’s by “expert tote makers from Vietnam,” the company said.

Trader Joe’s told FOX Business that the bag was introduced last month and is sized to carry up to six gallons.

Earlier this year, Trader Joe’s had a couple of bags that also went viral online: mini totes and insulated totes. It was not uncommon to see bags on reseller websites for much more than what people were paying for them.

This year, social media and the Internet have helped sell several popular items.

Along with Trader Joe’s bags, the Stanley Cup craze kicked into high gear when Target released special colors ahead of Valentine’s Day.

Trader Joe’s previously told FOX Business that “each store makes its own merchandising decisions” regarding how long items are on sale and availability.
