Minnesota lawmakers’ deadly US ‘politically motivated’ firing | Criminal news

Developing the story,

Governor Walz is a shooting attack in the US on Minnesota legislators as an act of ‘proposed political violence’.

Local authorities say that the leader and former house speaker and his husband were shot dead in Minnesota, and the second lawmakers and his wife were injured, with political motivated assassination attempts in the United States.

Melissa Hartman and his spouse were killed in the “act of intended political violence,” Minnesota Governor Tim Walz told a news conference on Saturday.

The firing comes during the big political polarization in the US, at which time the nationwide political leaders were assaulted, harassed and threatened.

US President Donald Trump said the FBI would join the investigation in a White House statement. “Our Attorney General, Palm Bondi and FBI are investigating the situation, and they are going to prosecute anyone who is in full swing of the law. Such horrible violence cannot be tolerated in the United States of America. God blesses the great people of Minnesota, a really great place!”

Walz said the investigation was underway while the police were still hunting for a man who was still being assaulted. The suspect was worn as a law enforcement officer, officials said.

“The tragedy in Minnesota has opened up – my best friend and colleague, Speaker Melissa Hartman and his husband Mark were shot dead early this morning, which seems to be a politically motivated killing,” he told reporters. “Our state lost a great leader,” he said.

In the second attack, Champlyn’s Senator John Hoffman and his wife have undergone surgery many times and they are “cowardly optimistic” that they are “optimistic”.

Dru Evans, Superintendent of Bureau of Criminal Anxiety, said the authorities were actively looking for the suspect.

An autopsy will be made to determine the extent of injuries, but Hartman and her spouse have died of gunfire injuries, Evans said.

Hoffman, Democrat, was first elected in 2012. He runs the Advisors of the Advisors of the Advisory Agency, Hoffman Strategic. Earlier, he served as Vice President of Anoka Hennepin School Board, who managed the largest school district in Minnesota. Hoffman is married and has a daughter.

Heartman is the state legislature’s top house Democratic leader and former House Speaker. He was first elected in 2004. Lawyer Hartman is married and has two children.

Both Hoffman and Hartman represent districts that are north of Minniyapolis.

The following statement was released by Gifords, a national gun violence prevention organization led by former Congress Woman Gabriel Gifords.

“I was shocked by the attack on two patriotic public servants last night,” Gifords said.

“My family and I know the horror of the proposed shooting. The attack against the legislators is the attack on American democracy. Leaders should speak and condemn the violent terrorism that threatens everything that this country is standing.”

Six people were killed and 12 people were shot in the head of Gifords in 2011 by a gunman. He went down from Congress in January 2012 to focus on his recovery.
