It is one of the most widespread crimes in the world.
But there is bad news for Flat Earthers, as a world-renowned scientist has given his damning verdict on the theory.
Professor Brian Cox, Professor of Particle Physics at the University of Manchester, says bluntly that if he met a Flat Earther, he would ‘beat them over the head with Newton’s Principia’.
This book written by Sir Isaac Newton, also called Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica, explains the principles of time, energy, and motion that have led to the development of modern science.
Newton’s work, first published in 1687, laid the foundation for understanding the Earth’s rotation as part of his many contributions to science and mathematics.
However, if Flat Earthers don’t want to read the entire 466-page Principia, Professor Cox has a simple explanation.
Talking with LADbiblehe said: ‘Because of its meaning.
‘Can you imagine if every time you get on a plane and fly somewhere, the person in charge of the flight is part of a big conspiracy that wants to fool you? Just imagine that.’

People who believe that the Earth is disc-like and not round are called ‘Flat Earthers’.
Because the earth appears to be flat as we move around it, conspiracy theorists reject all evidence to the contrary.
The leading theory suggests that the Earth is a disk with the Arctic Circle in the center and Antarctica, a 45 meter high wall of ice, around its edge.
Proponents of this strange theory also say that the Earth is in space rather than orbiting the sun.
However, Professor Cox said that if the Earth were flat, then planes passing through the planet would eventually encounter its edge.
In this sense, all the pilots in the world should be on the attack.
‘How can you be scared on a plane if the people flying on the plane keep bothering you about the true nature of reality?’ Professor Cox asked.
‘How are you feeling? You can’t fly again.’

The scientist continued to laugh: ‘That would be great, because then when I go on holiday, I wouldn’t bump into a Flat Earther, because he doesn’t walk.’
Professor Cox’s simple explanation has won many fans on YouTube.
Commenting on the LADBible video, one user wrote: ‘I can’t believe Flat Earthers think they know more than this guy.’
Another added: ‘That’s a good way to describe Flat Earthers.’
And someone joked: ‘If the Earth is flat then I’m King Charles’ brother.’
This news comes soon after one of the most famous internet ‘Flat Earthers’ finally came to an end to persevere in the truth.
Jeran Campanella, who runs the popular Flat Earth YouTube program ‘Jeransim’, went to Antarctica as part of an expedition called ‘The Final Experiment’.
Mr. Campanella saw for himself that the sun does not set in the summer of the southern part of the world.
This contradicts the Flat Earthers’ belief that Antarctica is a wall of ice where the sun rises and sets every day.
While in Antarctica, he tells the camera: ‘Sometimes in life you make mistakes and I think there is no 24-hour sun.
‘In fact I was sure about it.
‘And it’s true – the sun goes around you in the south.
‘So what does that mean?
‘You guys will find that out for yourselves.’
