The American Airlines plane was forced to turn around in the air and return to airport in Chicago following a “possible maintenance issue,” the airline reported to Fox News Digital on Sunday.
American Airlines Flight 1047 was en route from Chicago O’Hare International Airport (ORD) to Las Vegas when the incident occurred. American Airlines said the spokesman.
“Flight 1047 has returned to ORD due to a possible maintenance issue,” the spokesman said. “Light landed safely and taxied to the gate.”
The airline did not immediately offer details on the possible maintenance issue.
