Mitchell Starc hits Rishabh Pant brutally before Pat Cummins delivers the killer blow

Indian national cricket team opener Rishabh Pant failed to make a big hit with the bat in the second test against the Australian national cricket team. The second match of Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 is underway at the Adelaide Oval.

Rishabh Pant was once again at the helm as the Indian national cricket team lost wickets at a moment’s notice. The keeper looked decent and made some good shots in his innings. He held on for a point and looked to be pulling his team out of trouble again.

However, it was not to be, as Rishabh Pant returned to the hut after a good start. But to be fair, his wicket was a trick designed by the Australian national cricket team which saw him lose focus and get out at a crucial moment.

Before the delivery that got him out, Rishabh Pant was bowled by Mitchell Starc. As Nitish Kumar Reddy called for a quick single, the keeper-batsman hit the ball at mid-run as the Australian national cricket team pacer aimed to hit the ball on the stumps.

This saw Rishabh Pant losing his concentration. The next ball, Pat Cummins hit 143.5 kmph and hit the deck hard. The ball hits back of long-on and catches the Indian batsman in an awkward position.

Rishabh Pant tried to defend and the ball kept going up and hit him. The ball hit the shoulder of his bat and flew into the air and Marnus Labuschagne took an easy catch at wide gully.
