Fortnite fans will be crossing their fingers this weekend as the game’s servers are down in preparation for a big change.
There will be fewer hours for new releases as part of Chapter 6, Part 1.
Epic Games removed the game from the internet before the date, but players will have to wait a little longer.
It was taken offline at 3am and may remain until noon.
The server’s website says it will be down for eight hours, which means it should be back online by 11am.

LEGO Fortnite, Creative, Battle Royale, Fortnite Festival, Save the World and Rocket Racing were all offline.

A new change means a bigger growth than usual which takes time to install.
The new content includes new maps and rewards via the Battle Pass.
Players will be able to fight bosses like Godzilla and Kong and a circle of demons to find the best weapons and loot.
New Battle Pass skins include Baymax from Big Hero 6 and Samurai characters.
The developer is also introducing new moves such as wall jumping and rolling on landing.
