A quick recall of an Apple Watch accessory that could catch fire


An urgent warning has been issued provided for Apple Watch users Popular charger recalled due to fire accidents.

Accessory manufacturer Belkin has announced a global expansion remember for $160 BoostCharge Pro Fast Wireless Charger for Apple Watch + Power Bank 10K.

‘If you have purchased the Belkin BoostCharge Pro Fast Wireless Charger for Apple Watch + Power Bank 10K, BPD005, it is important that you stop using it immediately, disconnect it from any electrical or other sources, and contact us for more information,’ the company shared.

The company quietly pulled the power bank from its site in October.

‘No injuries have been reported, and no other Belkin wireless chargers or other Belkin products are affected by this recall,’ according to the recall announcement.

Belkin also said it will issue refunds to consumers who bought the wrong bank.

Belkin BoostCharge ProFast Wireless Charger for Apple Watch + Power Bank 10K is priced at $159.

It is not known how many units have been sold worldwide.

Although Belkin did not elaborate on the manufacturing problem that causes overheating, such issues have been linked to the use of cheap devices that lead to pollution.

Another recall on lithium batteries catching fire mentioned a broken separator, a thin plastic film separating positive and negative charges.

However, Belkin was affected by another recall in 2021 due to a fire accident.

The Boost Charge Portable Wireless Charger + Stand Special Edition (WIZ003), sold through Apple’s online stores and retailers, has been recalled after a manufacturing defect that could cause fire hazards and hazards was discovered.

There is also an iPhone charger recalled in september for the same problem.

Accessories manufacturer Anker has confirmed its MagGo Battery (PowerCore 10K), Power Bank and MagGo Power Bank may cause a fire hazard after finding that the lithium-ion battery can overheat, causing plastic parts to melt, smoke and catch fire.

“Although only a small number of batteries (the group that has been used in products from January 3, 2024, to September 17, 2024) may be affected by this issue, out of caution, we are reaching out to all customers to start the Recall program,” the company said.

Affected models included: Anker 334 MagGo Battery (PowerCore 10K)/Anker Power Bank/Anker MagGo Power Bank, Model: A1642/A1647/A1652.

‘Stop using this medicine immediately. Do not dispose of the power bank in the trash or recycling bin. Please dispose of your device in a place that accepts lithium batteries,ā€ warned Anker.
