A frequent flier has showcased the ‘gag’-worthy food she received while sitting in first class on a Delta flight.
The unnamed passenger na Reddit to share a snapshot of the ‘first class food crime’ in a thread simply titled Delta.
The meal, which consisted of a hard-boiled egg, chunks of cheese and slices of turkey, was advertised by the airline as a ‘charcuterie board’.
The passenger revealed she got the meal while on a domestic flight from New York’s JFK California‘s LAX airport.
Upon seeing the photo of the ‘absolutely hideous meal,’ people on the web flooded the comments section to express their disgust.

The post was titled: ‘First class food crime.’
The passenger explained: ‘Domestic first class JFK to LAX meal disaster today. Told us the oven wasn’t working and only had charcuterie board (as seen above) and a muffin.
“Delta told me they could give me 5,000 SkyMiles for the inconvenience.”
The flyer then included a screenshot of the meal in her post.
She revealed that she was given a box containing a hard-boiled egg, two slices of turkey and two pieces of cheese.
The meal also came with a handful of nuts and dried apricots.
A first class flight from the Big Apple to Hollywood on Delta usually costs around $1,300.
According to the airline’s websiteDelta offers a ‘fine dining experience’ for its first class customers.

People on the web quickly flocked to the comments section and shared their revulsion at seeing the food
Some of the meals listed on the airline’s website as available to high-paying passengers include feta and pecan salad with buttermilk ranch dressing, Fox Bros. short ribs with roasted potatoes, carrots and turnips, and even pumpkin ravioli with brown butter cream sauce.
However, according to the passenger, she was handed a less tasty meal because the oven no longer worked.
She was given 5,000 SkyMiles for the expense, which is worth about $50.

People on the web quickly flocked to the comments section, sharing their distaste at seeing the food, with one person saying: ‘It made me gag.’
Someone else added: “Throw it away.”
Another user wrote: ‘Just awful.’
“Absolutely horrific,” said another user.
The Reddit user has since deleted the post.
