Ruben Amorim insists he will “make the team better” despite Manchester United’s back-to-back Premier League defeat after losing 3-2 at Nottingham Forest.
The defeat was the second for the new United boss at Old Trafford, after early goals in both halves gave a spirited Forest side victory.
Nikola Milenkovic scored within 90 seconds of the game, but Rasmus Hojlund equalized after 15 minutes.
Morgan Gibbs-White struck less than two minutes into the second half before Chris Wood became Forest’s all-time leading Premier League goalscorer when he headed in the third.
Bruno Fernandes pulled a goal back, but despite one late chance for the hosts, the visitors won for the first time at United’s home ground in 30 years.

Ahead of the game, Amorim predicted a storm would come and on a day that has been affected up and down the football pyramid by Storm Darragh, the United manager’s predictions have come true.
“It’s not surprising because we came in the middle of a lot of games,” Amorim told Sky Sports about the result.
“We already knew that. If you have some experience in football, you will understand these moments.”
The result came just three days after United lost 2-0 to rivals Arsenal and hours after the club’s minority owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe. In the interview, he called the club “average”. published in the fanzine “United we stand”.

And while Amorim understands the fans’ disappointment after the loss, he is confident he can turn the tide at Old Trafford.
“It’s really disappointing for the fans,” Amorim added.
“It’s really hard to watch these kinds of games with disappointment after a few times.
“But we’re here to do the job, and we’re going to keep doing the same thing and doing the same things. And we’re going to improve the team.”
Next up for Manchester United is a trip to Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League on Thursday before the Manchester derby on Sunday.
