Disneyland fans who rode Tiana’s Bayou Adventure have problems with the new attraction’s wetness.
“This ride always had a warning that ‘you might get wet,’ but even people familiar with Splash Mountain said they didn’t expect so much water on the ride,” according to a review by MousePlanet.
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disneyland will be open to the thrill seekers – and water lovers – from November 15th.
In anticipation of the ride’s official opening, park employees and guests who are Disneyland Magic Key holders were allowed early ride access.
The attraction left many social media users happy with the revamp of what used to be Splash Mountain, but one rider said they didn’t enjoy the ‘unimpressive’ and ‘underwhelming’ ride.

Several Disneyland guests have complained about how wet rides get on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Prior to the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Disney previously ordered its Splash Mountain flame rides to be leveled in 2020, citing their references to the 1946 film Song of the South ‘not appropriate in today’s world’.
After waiting to finally try out the ride, the X user said Disneyland’s Tiana’s Bayou Adventure was a miss for their family, even though Tiana was one of their ‘top three princesses’.
“You got a little wet at the big drop earlier,” the X user tweeted.
“But they re-weighed the cars and fixed the water so that there are centimeters of water in the bottom of the car when you get in and you end up drenched.”
The social media user added that they all bought ponchos before going on the ride, but it still left their shoes and bodies drenched.
“We would only do it again if we had a complete change of clothes or could run back to a hotel room on the property. It’s not fun for us,” wrote the unfortunate attraction ride.
A MousePlanet writer claimed their friend forgot an extra pair of shoes, and was forced to walk in soaked socks and shoes for the rest of the day.
At least three X users were angry about the ride in general rather than just its wetness.
“Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is such an insult to Tiana’s character,” an X-user tweeted.
‘The Disney princess with the most grit and personality has been reduced to someone who forgot to book a band for her party. Total joke.’

Social media users either praised the ride or complained about its wetness and design
Other X users raved about the thrill ride, and several fans claimed to have ridden Tiana’s Bayou Adventure more than once.
One Disneyland guest claimed Tiana’s Bayou Adventure was ‘even faster’ than Splash Mountain.
However, that X-user has a disability and admitted that he had forgotten how a ride could beat one’s body.
‘Would I ride it again? Probably not – if not because of the inhibition, but because my body can’t handle it anymore,’ she wrote.
Another X user wrote: ‘Honestly, Disneyland’s Tiana’s Bayou Adventure facade looks a lot better than Walt Disney World’s version.’
A park guest claimed Tiana’s Bayou Adventure attraction in California is indeed wetter than the one in Florida, according to Screaming landscape.
“Based on some video clips, the experience in California is wetter than it ever was when it ran as Splash Mountain with some logs looking like they were just absolutely flooded with water after the big splash to the point that your shoes are completely under the water. for a time,’ they wrote.
‘Word is that the speed of the water flow was also adjusted around this time to speed up the logs’ journey through the attraction in an attempt to make up for the lost physical capacity of each log, which also had the side effect of of increasing the amount of ‘splash’ as the faster logs crashed down the course.’

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened June 28 in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Florida
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opened June 28 in Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World in Florida.
The ride, which is based on Tiana’s storyline from The Princess and the Frog, has been replaced Disney World’s Splash Mountain.
Because of its wetness, Disneyland recommends guests riding Tiana’s Bayou Adventure rent a locker to keep their belongings dry.
Riders can also purchase a poncho, waterproof phone case or towel at the Louis’ Critter Club gift shop in Bayou Country.
Other items that can help with item dryness are Ziploc or resealable plastic bags.
