I decided my stamina was back enough to try my group run on Tuesday. We did one of my favorite rides – “around the reservoirs” plus an out and back on Casa Loma Road. I ride mine recumbent because it’s easier on my back and less likely to cause a flareup of my stenosis. I used the electric assist as needed to maintain it. and had plenty of battery to get me through. Very pleasant ride on a beautiful late fall day.

After the ride was over, I had a weird fall coming off the bike. As I did my leg on it snagged in the frame tube, so I was temporarily balanced on one leg. Before I passed out, I fell backwards, hitting my back (near the sacrum) and my head on the floor. Fortunately my helmet saved me. So now I got a new helmet (not a good idea to reuse one after a big impact). Also a backache, which should be gone in a day or two. Time to work more on balance!
