Boxing Results: Mayweather Promotions’ Joseph Brown and Jursley Vargas shine in Garcia’s Legend 4


Mayweather Promotions’ rookie duo of Joseph Brown and Jursley Vargas made the trip to the East Coast as they both came off impressive wins at the legendary Garcia 4 event on Saturday night, November 30 at ACX1 Studios in Atlantic City. New Jersey.

Danny Garcia Swift Promotions is a new boxing company that provides a platform to help young boxers gain exposure. On Saturday night, which aired live on DMDb.com, Joseph “The Prodigy” Brown showed off his boxing skills while Jursley “Gorilla” Vargas showed off his striking power.

On the “Tale Of Garcia 4” undercard, 18-year-old Joseph Brown opened his bout against Carlo Ricci by moving quickly around the ring as he worked. In the second round, Brown took a jab and landed a three-punch combination to the body.

At the end of the second round, Brown connected with a hard right hand and then he closed out the round with a long shot on Ricci. At the start of round 3, Brown stood in the pocket and threw a five-punch combination to the head and body of his opponent.

For the rest of the third and into the fourth, Brown controlled the distance, used his jab and landed fast combinations. At the conclusion of the 4-round contest, Joseph Brown won 40-36 on all three scorecards. With the victory, Brown improved his record to (4-0, 3 KOs).

Brown’s stablemate Jursley Vargas competed in the co-main as he faced Claudio Hernandez. In the opening round, Vargas landed a hard left hook and followed it up with a barrage of power shots. Hernandez responded by connecting with two-three combinations.

For the rest of the opening round, Hernandez looked to be the first as he aggressively pressed forward, but Vargas showed he was capable of fighting back on the back foot. In the second round, the fight was very intense, as both boxers managed to land significant blows.

The uppercut was a very effective weapon for Vargas in the first two rounds. Late in the third round, Vargas connected with an uppercut that stunned Hernandez as Vargas went for a series of power punches that forced Hernandez to his knees.

Hernandez was able to get up as the bell rang to officially end the third round. In the fourth round, Vargas connected with a big right hand that knocked Hernandez off balance. Vargas hit Hernandez, forcing the referee to step in and stop the contest.

With the victory, Yursli Vargas, 20, improved his record to (4-0, 3 KOs). The Mayweather Promotions duo of Jursley Vargas and Joseph Brown finished 2024 with a win. Both Vargas and Brown are anxious to get back into the gym, work on their craft, and prepare to be very active in 2025.
