It’s been several weeks since “Valley“The viewers saw Jax Taylor Check out itself in rehabilitation during a previous section.
In the show on June 17, however, the rogue reality star returned to the group after missing 30 days and seemed to pick up where he quit and encountered his heads with several of his co-stars and his soon-to-be-wife, Brittany Cartwright.
During the days leading up to Taylor’s return in the air, the fans had expressed his disappointment over the network because he allowed him to return to the group.
During a new interview, however, one of the show’s executive producers drove back against the criticism and defended the decision and claimed that Jax Taylor should have stopped filming the season so they could tell the whole story.

“We all try to find out how we tell the story in a responsible and fair manner, in a way that is entertaining and real,” Alex Baskin told, the Show’s executive producer Amount In a new interview. “But it doesn’t put a shine on what really happens. This topic is dark!”
In a section in April 2025, viewers saw Taylor have a difficult conversation with Kristen Doute, where he admitted that he was a “mess” before stating that he checked a treatment center to deal with concern he had about his behavior.
Cartwright, meanwhile, disputed Taylor’s claims That he had voluntarily checked into a health facility and suggested that he had only done it to stay on the show. “I think if his job was not on line, he wouldn’t have gone (for rehab),” she said.

Mom to one also revealed that an intervention that she organized with friends and loved ones almost ended with a call to the police to convince him to seek treatment.
“The cops would be called if he did not at least go and tried to get help. I think he, as 100 percent, would not have gone by that time because he was still denial,” she said. “You had to beat your stone bottom and stuff to actually want to get help for yourself. For some reason I think he was still not at that rock base.”
Cartwright’s revelation scared some of her most loyal fans, who had last questioned the Bravo network to let Taylor return to the show and other programs, such as “Look at what happens live with Andy Cohen.”

However, Baskin directed these problems and defended the network’s decision to allow Taylor back into the fold.

“Our job is to tell the whole story,” he said.
“If we did not tell the story in its completeness, we would cover something that really happened and deny Brittany the chance to share what she had gone through,” he continued.
Baskin explained that by allowing Taylor to film these real events, it gave a platform for their story, which focuses on all parties, including Cartwright.

Taylor says he’s 200 days sober

Taylor also seemed to defend his continued presence on the show in a statement to Variety and said he recently finished his “200th day of sobriety from both alcohol and cocaine.”
“It has been a long way and continues to be when I work through my mental health problems,” he added.
Taylor, 45, opened About his decades long dependent on cocaine during a previous interview, admitted that he had used the illegal drug since he was in the 20th century.

Baskin also discussed how the role can be changed for the third season of Hit Bravo show.
“We figure everything out,” he said. “It is very likely that the show looks different next season, but I don’t know what different means.”
The executive producer also noted that “no one is guaranteed a job indefinitely.”
“Many times before, we have had to make a change based on someone’s behavior. But seeking help is the opposite. Seeking help is obviously what we completely support,” he added.
He ended by explaining that the network aims to throw friends with authentic contacts for the third season to maintain the show’s core premise.

“We don’t want to be in a situation where we together force people who would not spend time together in real life,” he said. “It can be taxing and difficult to look at.”
