The British government has issued a new safety warning for tourists traveling to Turkey.
On the Fcdo advisory page For Turkey, the government advised travelers to take care of when ordering a taxi.
Tourists have been warned that a ride in an ‘non -official taxi’ can be extraordinarily ‘risky’.
The new government’s warning said: ‘Accepting elevators of non -official taxis is very risky.
‘Look for a registered taxi, note the registration number before entering it and ensure that the rate is measured.
‘App-based taxis and pre-booked taxis are also widely available.’
Apps of rides like Uber are available in Turkey and tourists can use it to secure a taxi.
Tourists were also recently warned to take care of extreme sports in Turkey.

The Government said: “Seek a registered taxi, note the registration number before entering and ensuring the rate is measured”
In advice issued on the FCDE page, the government urged tourists to make sure they receive ‘complete instructions’ before they go paragliding.
It is said: ‘Paragliding is an extreme sport and poses the risk of serious injuries or death. British citizens are killed or seriously injured while falling in Turkey.
‘Make sure you get complete instructions and training before your activity. If you are close to where parachute activities take place, you should be aware that the landing area may be in a public area.
“Keep a reasonable distance from potential landing zones for your personal safety.”
