A British tourist defended to put towels on sunbeds while having breakfast on holiday.
Rachel McGuigan and her husband David enjoyed a soft holiday in Turkey in the hostel hotel in Fethiye, west of Antalya.
The couple, who work for a water garden business, vacationed with their friends Adam and Hayley.
But Rachel divided the opinion after taking the couple to Instagram to reveal that they would put their towels on their beds on the pool for half an hour while fetching their morning meal.
The tourist has attracted fierce reactions from some holidaymakers on social media for the controversial move.
Harry Crumb said: ‘I just remove it, if it’s full. I don’t care and the hotel doesn’t care. ‘
Another added: ‘Just throw the towels in the pool. This may not do so in most hotels and resorts. ‘
But someone else said, ‘I don’t understand. I thought it was normal to get up, grab your towels, pop it on your bed and then breakfast. ‘

Rachel was left confused by people’s reactions.
“I just thought it was crazy that people were so upset to leave a towel for half an hour to breakfast,” Rachel said what the jam is. “They accused me of being selfish and all kinds of kinds.”
Rachel, from York, then posted on her ‘Holidays & Hangovers’ Tiktok page.
She then decided to stare the fires further by placing a joke video of her towels at 5:30 am at 05:30 to go on a series of fake excursions that lasted until bedtime.
The punchline was that they could never spend a minute on the sunbeds they reserved at dawn.
In the footage, she shared a screenshot of an angry user’s message that reads: “really annoys people to put towels on sunbeds and then disappear somewhere?
‘Why? Everyone wants to enjoy their vacation. ‘
Rachel recorded her cut: “Okay, you all caught me, that’s what our day really looked like …”

Rachel explained: ‘After the first time, I thought it would be funny to play it. “It was a joke and I didn’t expect anyone to take it seriously, but I finally opened a can of worms over sunbed bookings!”
Many furious British literally took the joke and flooded her comments section for a second time.
One tourist said: ‘You reserved the beds and didn’t use them, but wouldn’t anyone else use it? Have you ever thought that you could be the problem? ‘
Another furious: ‘You go on holiday for a rest, but end up early as you do at home just to put out towels. Hotels are not for me, so I have Airbnb, not going, just said. ‘
“Most council estates ever!” Say a third.
After managing to ruffle some feathers, Rachel explained: ‘After the first time, I thought it would be funny to play about it.

She added: ‘There was no lack of sunbeds, so for no one was a problem to put our towels down.
“I was surprised that everyone was commenting on it.”
Rachel admitted that it could be “annoying” if some tourists leave their towels on sunbeds “for hours at the end”.
But she doesn’t see it as a problem if it’s “just half an hour and someone stays with them”.
