Colorado Governor Jared Polis accused President Biden of “putting his family before country” with his apology to Hunter Biden.
“As a father I certainly understand President Joe Biden’s A natural desire to help his son by forgiving him, I am disappointed that he put his family ahead of his country,” the Democrat wrote in X.
“This is a bad precedent that can be abused by subsequent presidents and will sadly tarnish his reputation. When you become president, your role is the nation’s Potter families,” continued Polis, the Latin word for head of household. Mentioned.
“The hunter brought the legal troubles he faced upon himself, and one can sympathize with his struggles while acknowledging that no one is above the law, not the President and not the President’s son,” the police added.

Biden’s apology to Hunter The announcement was made by the White House on Sunday night and comes after Hunter was convicted in two separate federal cases earlier this year.

“Today, I signed a pardon for my son Hunter,” Biden wrote in a statement. “From the day I took office, I said I would not interfere in the decision-making of the Department of Justice, and I kept my word even as I watched my son be prosecuted, selectively and unfairly.”
The president claimed his son was “treated differently” by prosecutors.

“People will never be prosecuted on felony charges based solely on how they filled out the gun form, without aggravating factors such as use in a crime, multiple purchases or purchasing a weapon as a straw buyer,” Biden added. “People who are late paying their taxes because of serious addictions, but who later pay them back with interest and penalties, are usually given not guilty verdicts. It’s clear that Hunter was treated differently.”
