Roll up, roll up! Theme -Parks opened their doors for the summer season. And even if you are not an Achtbaan fan, this mini metropolis of fun has a lot to entertain every generation, including spectacular shows, quieter rides and beautiful gardens.
And there is often great discount available for toddlers and over 65s. Tips? Pack a poncho in case it rains and wears your most comfortable shoes …
Tivoli Gardens, Denmark

Good luck to find a more beautiful theme park all over the world than Copenhagen’s Tivoli Gardens.
Slap afraid in the Danish capital’s center, a bronze statue by fairy tale writer Hans Christian Andersen welcomes visitors at the entrance to the park in 20 hectares of fun with exotic gardens, a brilliant food room – with Asian street stalls, burgers and pizzas – historic buildings and yes, many rides.
It is late open from spring to the end of September.
All ages will love: Wood roller coaster chip ban, dating from 1914.

Efteling, the Netherlands

Trip the Light Fantastic in this fairytale-themed park with an Emerald Lake 20 minutes from Tilburg in the Netherlands south.
Each Daredevil ride (including the hair-stitched diving baron 1898) is linked to a more calming attraction, with a miniature village, monorail and steam train to enjoy.
All ages will love: Drive a gondoletta past pasture and windmills.

Europa Park, Germany

Germany’s largest theme park, an hour north of the Black Forest, takes visitors on a tour of Europe via 20 theme areas-with Shakespeare’s Globe, a mini-Silverstone and a 100-year-old British carousel in ‘England’.
Elsewhere, there is a brand new 3D ride called Grand Prix Edventure, or have a week on the summed-wood flame Atlantica Superplash.

Phantasialand, Germany

Cheap flights to Cologne Airport – just 25 minutes by car – make it a pleasant grazing.
It is 70 hectares smaller than most (saves the legs), but has seven areas with themes, all of which compete against Disney’s most famous attention to detail. Look out for regular half-price ticket offers online.
All ages will love: West finals programs including an ice skating display.

Puy du Fou, France

The French regularly voice Puy du Fou, hidden in a forest in the Vendee region, the country’s largest theme park. It is an exciting celebration of history, with 20 different performances and four towns that enable visitors through the ages of ancient Rome to the era of the 20th century cinema.

Gardaland, Italy

Gardaland, ideal for teenage kicks, is packed with roller coasters with scary names, including Oblivion: The Black Hole and Raptor.
Meanwhile, younger children will land Peppa Pig and worship the Sealife Aquarium, which has 5000 sea creatures.

Parc Astérix, France

A French favorite since 1959 the comic book Asterix has its own park 25 miles north of Paris which is full and small rides.
The latest for this season is Cetautomatix, a quick turn-wagon newspaper designed for the whole family.

Tibidabo, Barcelona

How can you inject some child -friendly pleasure in a city break in Barcelona? Go to Tibidabo, an amusement park that has entertained Catalans since 1901. The latest attraction, Merli, offers unparalleled views with a catch after taking the 360-degree Panorama, there is a free fall from 170FT (52 m) to Terra firm. Yikes.
All ages will love: Avio, a shiny red replica 1927 plane rising morally above the park.

Energylandia, Poland

An hour west of Krakow will find you energylandia, which looks just as technical as it sounds.
There are more than 130 attractions to entertain each era of the theme park -goer from blasting velocity straps (Hyperion racks up 88mph) to an impressive range of water base, with short waiting times, even in the high season.
All ages will love: In 190 hectares it is so great that it rarely feels pressure.

Paultons Park

Paultons Park, small, but perfectly formed, sits in 65 hectares on the edge of the new forest.
The home of Peppa Pig World is the hottest ticket in the city for toddlers-only asks former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, who once took one of his children.
Another winger has a lot to fire the adrenaline, including spinning roller coaster storm chaser.

Chessington World of Adventures

This is the seventh heaven for younger children. There is the Gruffalo and room on a broom, based on the famous books of Julia Donaldson, plus Safari Animals and Marine Life in the Zoo & Sea Life divisions.
Shouting inducers? Rope for Dragon’s Fury, Vampire and Mandrill Mayhem.
Grandparents will love: Giraffes, zebras and ostriches on the off -road driving Zufari.

Alton Towers

Over 550 Rolling Staffordshire Acres, Alton Towers, opened in 1980, is the largest theme park in Britain – and probably the most charming thanks to its picturesque gardens.
There is excitement for every age, from Cbeebies Land to Gangsta Granny: The Ride and Struggling Coaster Rita, with a 4.7 g power. New for 2025 is a dizzying spinning toxicator.
All ages will love: 17th century Alton Manor in the heart of the park.
