New images reveal what a large new £ 200m water park with a 500-room hotel and a mini golf course can look like when it opens in the UK.
US recreation operator Great Wolf Resorts wants to build the water park resort on the grounds of Basingstoke Golf Center.
An ‘in principle’ agreement was agreed with Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council after the US operator expressed an interest in breaking into the British market.
The resort may contain a 500-bedroom hotel, an indoor water park, mini-golf, mini-bowling, ropes course, games arcade and selection of restaurants, cafes and bars, as well as conference space.
During a recent public consultation, directors of the US Leisure Company explained their visions to residents who were also invited to provide feedback on the proposals.
Images of the proposal were also up to the residents to give them an idea of what the resort can look like, as well as to provide information about access and parking.
Designs show that the resort would have an entrance via the Worlding Rod rot round between Basingstoke Leisure Park and Moniton Trading Estate.
Public rights would also be created in the right way, although imputed grounds.

The recreational firm also has planning consent to build a British resort near Bicester in Oxfordshire.
A spokesman for Great Wolf Lodge has on the Basingstoke Gazette: ‘We have explored opportunities to further extend our signature Great Wolf Lodge Indoor Water Park Resort Experience North America, and we are excited about the growth potential within the British market.
‘We are currently reviewing several potential locations in the UK, with public exhibitions coming for websites in Clowne and Hampshire, which has a strong interest to develop.
‘These two websites, along with a location in Oxfordshire for which we have previously received planning approval, will help us achieve a great concentration of British families.
“Each of these resorts will offer about 500 permanent jobs and bring a world -class recreation facility to the region, attracting tourists and investment.”

The resort is expected to attract 600,000 visitors to Basingstoke each year and offer more than 600 posts.
The website is currently home to Basingstick Golf Center, which is owned by the council and operated by the Basing Stock and Deane Community Leisure Trust and is run by Serco.
The site will continue to work as a golf center until the development progresses through the planning system.
Councilor Gavin James, co-leader and cabinet member for finance and property, said: ‘One of our most important priorities as a cabinet provides a recreation park suitable for the 21st century and a place our residents can be proud of and we are very pleased that we have signed this initial agreement to bring Great Wolf to Basing Stock.
‘This is an important first step in developing plans for this exciting new attraction that will provide incredible new facilities that locals can enjoy, many new opportunities and attract thousands of visitors to the city in a boost for our local economy.
‘In addition, the agreement and the sale of the land will receive the council that will be reinvested in the revival of Leisure Park.
“We know how important the facilities currently offered in the golf center are to our residents, so we also develop plans to reproduce the facilities.”
