Hitchins (19-0, 7 KOs) has a shaky fighting style, but with more power, less aggression and less running. He is what the light welterweight division needs to bring back the entertainment value that was lost after Ryan Garcia’s one-year suspension. This guy is Hitchins pure gold and has the potential to revive this dead division.
Guys like Paro have nothing interesting about their fighting style and definitely not their personality. Paro doesn’t have the ability to sell fights to international fans and doesn’t have the crowd-pleasing style that Hitchins has.
Matchroom promoter Eddie Hearn has set Pa up and wants to match him with George Cambosos Jr. if he wins. What a waste of time. Here’s what fans can expect if Paro finds a way to win against Hitchins tonight.
Hearn is backing the wrong horse, focusing more on Paro than the real gem Hitchins. It’s amazing that a slick promoter like Hearn can’t see the superstar potential of Hitchins because he has to talk about him day and night. In his last fights, he defeated Gustavo Lemos, Jose Zepeda and John Bauza.

A native of Brooklyn, New York, Hitchins has the talent and charisma to be a superstar. He just needs to figure out how to get past Paro tonight so he can take the IBF throne and set up some interesting fights against other champions.
Hopefully a good referee will work tonight who can control Pa’s excessive holding, pushing and movement. Paro (25-0, 15 KOs) will likely use these tactics to win, and they have been effective so far.
