A lesser-known British theme park is home to the world’s highest suspended loop-lane.

Fantasy -IslandLocated in Ingoldmells on the coast of Lincolnshire, is one of the more unique theme parks in the country.

The peculiar theme park has more than 30 rides, but there is one who definitely doesn’t want to miss the theme park junkies.

The The Odyssey Coaster of Fantasy Island is the world’s highest pending loop track, which stands at 167 feet/51 m high.

The backbone ride travels at 62 km / h and opened in 2002, the year of the Golden Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II. Prince Edward was one of the first people to ride on the Odyssey.

It has five inversions (where riders are turned upside down), including a corkscrew and a 124 feet/ 37 m high vertical loop.

The Odyssey has a 4.6 rating out of five on Google Reviews with one rider who describes it as ‘unexpectedly well’.

Another rider says, ‘I loved it. When I first tried it, it was an incredible ride, probably better than the Smiler in Alton Towers. ‘

The ride sits within the ‘Discovery’ category of Fantasy Island, which means it can only be driven by the 1.1 m long or higher.

Fantasy Island adds: ‘Hold on as you rise through the air at incredible heights, through a whirlwind of inversions at large speeds.

“The Jubilee Odyssey is a very scary experience and is not a rogue -lane for the faint heart.”

But the Odyssey is not the only striking attraction of Fantasy Island.

The theme park is home to Europe’s largest seven -day market with more than 320 stalls.

Visitors can stop at Fantasy Foods for Candy Floss, and then search for wood furniture or get a body drill.

The market also has a large toy store, face painting, handbag stalls and a baby boutique.

On Tiktok, @CoAstertog calls it ‘the strangest theme park in the UK’, and notes that it is the only place you can go to drive to drive the largest SLC-Achtane in the world and walk home with a wooden eagle, dog speaker and a three-piece furniture set ‘.

A tourist said in an overview of Google Reviews: ‘The market and all the stores around Fantasy Island are brilliant. You will find some bargains. ‘

Another said, ‘Big rides and a wonderful market make it a good day. We enjoyed the different food stalls and even had a fresh tattoo to finish our visit. ‘

Visitors can also pay by ride if they get one of the park’s Icards that can be filled by Fantasy Island’s cashier.
