According to Carter, organized retail crime is increasing by about 26% each year. Among those statistics are the alleged actions of Jadion Richards and Akwele Lawes-Richards. Furthermore, the police claim that the couple and a third accomplice traveled to small towns across the country since September. Once there, they allegedly entered Lululemon stores, made small purchases before removing security sensors from other items and disrobing with the clothes hidden in their garments.
In the end, the group would allegedly exchange and then return the clothes in New York City, lowering the total amount of their costs.

According to Carter, Jadion Richards and Akwele Lawe-Richards were arrested on November 14. Then they must have been in Woodbury, Minnesota. Additionally, police reportedly made a shocking discovery on Jadion Richards, revealing how he was able to carry out the alleged plots.
