This is not a drill, folks: Tetris for the NES will join the Nintendo Switch Online library on December 12th. Nintendo of America this exciting arrival of blue today in X. The NES port of Tetris originally released in 1989, so it’s been a long time since this classic title returned to Nintendo hardware.
That’s not to say that there aren’t many other ways to get the tetrimino solution. Tetris is a perennially popular puzzle game, with many official releases and many knockoffs. And many of them, like the dazzlers Tetris effectthey are very good But the NES version is most often considered the best of the bunch. It is the iteration that is mainly used in the fascinating and even after more than three decades, one player only managed to do so well, breaking his little computer brain. For those of us who missed out on the NES era, or those whose NES hardware bit the dust long ago, we finally have a modern way to play this iconic version of Tetris it’s very exciting news.
The Switch Online service has received a couple of notable updates over the past few weeks. A of Sega Genesis games joined the Switch’s online library, and Nintendo launched as well app for members of the subscription plan. While that’s all well and good, the really exciting development will be the long-awaited announcement of the scheduled for March.
