Patreon is increasing his fees for new creators this summer

After August 4, creators who make up a page of paid members in Patreon will have to pay a 10 percent share on their income within the framework of the new standard platform plan. While Patreon currently offers Pro and Premium Plans, which have 8 percent and 12 percent rates of creators’ revenue, respectively, both merge into a single option to move forward. The price increase is only applied to the creators who publish a new page; Patreon says he will continue to honor the lower professional rate for anyone who closed him on August 4.

Once the change is underway, things will also be a bit cheaper for creators operating under the Prima Plan (12 percent). Instead of continuing to pay 12 percent, Premium creators will move to a personalized plan “Pro + Merch”, which will be a share of 11 percent. If they eliminate the merch option, the rate will drop to 8 percent.

Patreon also says that it increases the amount of free storage that creators will provide through the Patreon video. Although he previously said he would provide up to 100 hours of video for life of the account and will charge for anything further, Patreon says he will now start offering 100 hours of video per month for free at the end of this summer. The movement comes shortly after the platform mocks New tools that include an integrated playing function in timeLive video. Patreon started live video tests among select creators this spring, with plans for a summer release.
