Rebel Wilson speaks the lengths she went for “bride hard” role

The talented actress shared that she underwent intense workouts to prepare her for her latest role in the new action comedy, “Bride Hard.” It represented a new terrain for her because she was so used to putting her “body in line for physical comedy” thanks to “a lot of cases.”

Wilson noted that she trained for five whole weeks and went in full beast mode to achieve her goal for the film. With her words, “but I really liked it and got paid to almost be fit, which is really good.”

She explained that physical comedy may require her to come across a wall while she was fun on it, but for her action comedy it was “the actual right.” The actress was shown to try her skills with a curling iron, which she improvised for nun Chucks, just like one of her favorites, Chan.

“When I lived in South Africa, basically to pass the time, I would watch Jackie Chan videos and his comic timing, and I only loved all the movies. Although they were not subtitles and I couldn’t even understand the dialogue, I only loved all his comedy-Action scenes,” explained Wilson to PEOPLE.
