Rebel Wilson speaks the lengths she went for “bride hard” role

Rebell Wilson Never fail to give a hundred, especially when it comes to comedy.

The actress went the extra mile to bring her on the screen in her new movie to life, and she couldn’t be proud of how it turned out.

In Rebel Wilson’s new blockbuster, she plays the role of a secret agent who saves the wedding ceremony for her best friend, played by Anna Camp.

The talented actress shared that she underwent intense workouts to prepare her for her latest role in the new action comedy, “Bride Hard.” It represented a new terrain for her because she was so used to putting her “body in line for physical comedy” thanks to “a lot of cases.”

Wilson noted that she trained for five whole weeks and went in full beast mode to achieve her goal for the film. With her words, “but I really liked it and got paid to almost be fit, which is really good.”

She explained that physical comedy may require her to come across a wall while she was fun on it, but for her action comedy it was “the actual right.” The actress was shown to try her skills with a curling iron, which she improvised for nun Chucks, just like one of her favorites, Chan.

“When I lived in South Africa, basically to pass the time, I would watch Jackie Chan videos and his comic timing, and I only loved all the movies. Although they were not subtitles and I couldn’t even understand the dialogue, I only loved all his comedy-Action scenes,” explained Wilson to PEOPLE.

While it felt good to compare her skills with the legendary Chan, Wilson noted that her skills are still quite a lot of amateur. “I’m a little coordinated, but I’m not Bruce Lee, it’s sure … I just did it as a laugh, I thought,” admitted the “Pitch Perfect” star.

The 45-year-old reminded of being injured on the set last night to film action comedy. Wilson explained that a gun accidentally “hit” her over her face when she got her stunts in.

She revealed that the minor accident during the opening sequence scene shot left her nose split open. But above all, Wilson’s belief is strengthened in her abilities somewhat.

The indie function was allowed to schedule an interim agreement according to Sag-Aftra. Shaina Steinberg wrote the picture based on a story by Steinberg and Cece Pleasants, and Savannah, GA, served as the shooting area.

Global sales were handled by WME Independent, as funding for production came through East West Bank. CAA and Authentic Talent & Literary Agency have Repped Camp, which had played in successful films such as “The Help” and “Lovebirds.”

Atlas -Artists represented “Blade”, Dorff, which Caa represented “This is us” actor, Hartley. Caa and Liebman Entertainment duly represented Chlumsky, a six times Primetime Emmy-nominated.

Zumbado, who played in “Pitch Perfect 2” and “The Rookie”, was represented by A3 artists and industry entertainment, while Garcia from “The Lost City” was represented by CAA and Fox Rothschild.

The actress turned on Wilson 2.0 when she decided to jump on the healthy train and throw a few pounds. As it was noted by The blastShe described that decision that exactly what her career needed to reappear.

According to her, the weight loss placed her on the list of actors to be considered for more serious roles, differently than she was known for. While her skills remained the same, Wilson noted that they made her more versatile as a professional actress.

“I think people see you differently after weight loss and can imagine you easier in different roles. So I think it probably had the biggest effect,” she emphasized.

The 45-year-old lost famous about 80 pounds 2020, and apart from people who treat her better, her health has also taken a very positive turn. But she is still struggling to stay in line, especially when “emotional eating” comes into play.
