Reliance Infra aimed at 5000 kr from the modernization of military aircraft in defense


Reliance Infrastructure makes a big bet on the future of protection in India, looking at up to 5,000 crowns in military aircraft update programs – creating the first Indian private firm that independently performs such projects without being an original manufacturer of equipment.

In a strategic step that signals growing private players in defense, Reliance Infrastructure has secured its attention to a high -value aircraft modernization segment. According to sources, the company has already completed the upgrade 55 Dornier-228 aircraft in partnership with Hindust Aeronautics Ltd (Hal) and American Genesys, according to a 350 crowns.

Initially awarded for 37 aircraft, the program expanded with a re -order 18 units after successful delivery. The updated Dornier fleet is now actively maintained with the Indian Air Force, Navy and Coast Guard.

This milestone position depends on the violation in the space where the public sector and global manufacturers are historically predominant. With aircraft and helicopters, which are often serviced 30-40 years, experts say that investments in the life cycle in modernization can make up to 300% of the initial cost of acquiring the platform.

Aircraft upgrade and the MRO market is estimated at more than 5.00,000 crowns annually and, according to the forecasts, will reach 7.00,000 kroners over the decade. India, with the Navy’s aging inventory, is the mainstream market because the armed forces are looking for upgrading systems for digital and accurate war.

Drawing on your success in Dornier, Reliance is now scalable updating on stationary wings and rotary platforms and works with international firms to offer next -generation aviation, missionary systems and logistics solutions.

The company is also a key player in the Logistics -based Rafale Performance program in collaboration with Thales, deepening its role in high -end support services.

These steps coincide with the initiative of India “Atmanirbhar Bharat” and open the door for dependence on Tap Global Markets, while providing long -term revenue streams.
