A new study has unveiled the least crowded islands in Europe where tourists will not fight for space.
And Malta is officially the most pressure of Europe’s islands with 38,700 overnight stays per km2.
SpainThe islands are next on the list of Lanzarote the most print (21,673 overnight stays per km2) and Ibiza and Formentera next (17.183 overnight stay per km2).
Tenerife and Gran Canaria are also among the most pressure island destinations in Europe.
But where can tourists escape the crowds?
According to the research, Svalbard, from the team at Bookretreats.com, is the least crowded island in Europe, with just 2.4 tourists until every km2.
The archipelago, located between Northern Norway and the North Pole, is quite remote, so the lack of crowds is not a complete surprise.
But next on the list is the beautiful Aland Archipelago, an autonomous area under Finnish sovereignty. It only has 269 overnight stays for every km2.

Visit Finland Recommend that tourists start their visit to Aland in Mariehamn, called the ‘World’s smallest metropolis’, by locals.
The tourist board explains: ‘Mariehamn’s log cabins and green parks offer an excellent environment for a small holiday or a starting point for a tour of Aland Islands.’

From Mariehamn, tourists can go on a boat trip to jump island through the archipelago.
Visit Finland reveals: “If you walk around in the waters between the islands, it is possible to spend an entire day without meeting anyone except the occasional seal and – if you are happy – a white -tailed eagle.”
To reach the Aland Archipel from the United Kingdom, tourists can fly to Helsinki and then catch a ferry to Mariehamn.
And although Aland may not be the hottest summer destination, the temperature can reach until 25c in July and August.

If Finland does not appeal, the next quietest island in Europe is a beautiful place along the coast of Sweden.
Chios in Greece is next on the list, with just 353.81 tourists for every km2, much less than in the popular Mykonos or Santorini.
Evia is another tranquil choice for those who want to escape in Greece this year, with 419 tourists for every km2.
Meanwhile is Hydra, which is one of the Saronic Islands Greeceis another place that is j isUst as beautiful as Santorini – but much less pressure.
