New research of Shewcanner revealed one of the cheapest weekend destinations for British in 2025.
Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, is officially one of Europe’s best value for the summer holidays.
So what awaits British tourists in Sarajevo?

The Bazaar district is the liveliest area of the city and the ideal place to pick up a souvenir or taste a local snack.
Tourists can also visit the Sarajevo War Tunnel to discover more about the city’s past. During the devastating siege of Sarajevo of 1992-1995, the tunnel was used by brave citizens to gain access to essential supplies.

But tourists don’t have to break the bank to explore Sarajevo, even without the map. According to ShowA pint of household beer costs just £ 1.72.
And a meal at a cheap restaurant is less than £ 5, while a cappuccino costs just £ 1.40.

Sarajevo is not the only European city where British can enjoy a bargain this summer.
Tirana, the buzzing capital of Albania, is another good destination proposed by Skyscanner’s flight experts.

And when it comes to the long-distance holiday destination, Skyscanner Halifax recommends, describing it as one of ‘Canada’s most underrated cities’.
