Rothschild is making waves again: The former champion will fight to take over

The history of the Rothschild family has been filled with drama and strife to rival Succession, the black-and-white television series about the fictional billionaire business house.

The fifth baron, known around town as Nat Rothschild, is to some a royal stage boy with a busy business past and a colorful love life.

Its attractions include the clubs of Mayfair, the Mediterranean playgrounds of the mega-property and Waddesdon, the beautiful Berkshire estate built in the Victorian age by its ancestors.

He angered his parents in the mid-1990s when he broke up with Annabelle Neilson and then began a short-lived marriage.

Nat also didn’t invite his late father Jacob, who died earlier this year, to his 2016 wedding to former fashion model Loretta Basey.

However, to his fans in the city, he is a smart and talented business owner who is bringing back the golden age of work to the UK.

His business interests include electrical cable manufacturer Volex which is listed on the AIM, with a valuation of £665million.

Volex is involved in a battle for control of TT Electronics, a £206million component manufacturer.
