Shinobi: Art of Vengeance was one of my most anticipated games of the year for some reasons. First of all, I love the old Shinobi games and the classic saw. Shinobi III for the Genesis Sega is one of my favorite 16 -bit era games.
I also loved the latest game of Art of Vengence Lizardcube, Streets of Rage 4. Like this new Shinobi, he reported a dormant saw series with a modern touch and an extraordinary 2D art.
Shinobi: Art of Vengence Release on August 29, but I had the opportunity to try a couple of games of the game at the recent days of the game of the Game Fest summer game in Los Angeles. The experience justified my excitement.

Not your shinobi of your genesis
I don’t know if someone is able to create beautiful 2D games by Lizardcube right now. The manufactured animation is fluid and graceful and the game is equally beautiful to play.
Unlock with the original Shinobi titles, there is more emphasis on close distance combat. You still have Shuriken, but you can’t just worry a handful (five during my demo) at a time. I save them for special occasions. Cut the enemies with sword combo constitutes combat meat.
And that fight is fantastic. Together with the damage, you can attack enough enemies to fill a stunning caliber. You can therefore eliminate the enemies in that state amazed with a flashy move by Joe Musashi (the owner shinobi). It is one of the most satisfying maneuvers I lived in an action game.

Fly like a shinobi
Platforming feels equally good. Joe can cling to the walls and fall into the air, helping him to reach places that seem out of reach.
And while the art of revenge is not a metroidvania, it has some of those elements. The game has phases, not a large continuous world, but each level has some ramification paths and bonus objects. You will also unlock the skills further in the game that will be worth revisiting the oldest areas.
Overall, this is preparing as a worthy return for Shinobi. Sega has an entire initiative to report many of its classic franchises. If they reveal more than these efforts, how sega fans like me are to have fun.
