Tank shocked fans today by announcing that 2025 will be his last in the sport as he retires at the end of the year. He says he will fight three times next year and then hang up the gloves. So, Mr. Turki wants to fight between Tank and Shakur; it should happen next year
General plan of Turkey
For the Tank-Shakur fight to happen, Stevenson (22-0, 10 KOs) would have to defeat Schofield (18-0, 12 KOs) against No. 1 ranked Zepeda (32-0, 27 KOs). These aren’t exactly convincing for Shakur, who isn’t a boxer and doesn’t look like he’s built for the 135-pound division in terms of power.
“The situation with Shakur (William) Zepeda is injured. My plan is that Shakur is what I want to see in my life. I hope I have time to see it. For Shakur, my plan is to fight (Floyd Schofield) , then Zepeda and then let’s see if Tank wants to be on our show,” said His Excellency Turki Alalshih to Ariel Helwani. channel on YouTube about his interest in Shakur Stevenson and Jervonta Davis’ matchup.
“He officially asked me for two Ferraris on social media. I think two Ferraris are a lot cheaper than what I’d pay for some fighters. If this is the cost of war, why not?” said Turki about Tank Davis previously asking him for two Ferraris before he fought on one of his cards.
Tank has to fight Shakur because he has consistently avoided dangerous fights throughout his eleven-year career. He has never fought Vasyl Lomachenko and has shown no interest in fighting Teofimo Lopez or Devin Hani. Tank is already rich and has enough money to live out the rest of his life in his high-rise apartment in Baltimore. Will he agree to fight Shakur? You’d like to think so, but his track record says otherwise.
