Tesla has announced a number of software updates over the air to introduce a fun way to run up to Christmas.
And Tesla says it wants to ‘bring more joy to Tesla owners this holiday season’.
The Holiday Update 2024 brings new features and improvements to the Tesla car from next week – from Apple Watch accessories to improved battery and navigation settings for better performance driving home for Christmas.
The upgrade is always free – at no additional cost to Tesla owners – so Tesla drivers can treat it as an early Christmas present.
The most important news is the Apple Watch update: You can get the Tesla App on your Apple Watch – an important link to the synchronization of life.
But this is just one of the many holiday treats Tesla has unveiled – so what else is in store?
The Tesla App for Apple Watch users is a major new update that allows Tesla owners to use their Apple Watch as a phone key.

For most people the most exciting update by far is the new Tesla App for Apple Watch owners.
Using your Apple Watch as a mobile key you can lock and unlock the car, adjust the climate controls, check the battery charge and open the ‘frunk’.

For our American friends and Cybertrucks there are a number of Christmas updates – such as ‘Santa Mode’ which turns the Cybertruck avatar into Santa’s league of reindeer and elves – but these are not available in the UK : Cybertrucks are not allowed in Europe because they work. ‘Safety rules are not being met.
But Christmas won’t be forgotten for UK Tesla owners thanks to silly additions like a ‘Fart on Contact’ button, a new Boomerang Fu party game and new light display settings and remote setting.
