“Bournemouth” won 1:0 against “Tottenham” at “Vitality” stadium.
Dean Huysen’s 17th-minute header was enough to separate the sides and the Cherries had plenty of opportunities to extend their lead.
For Spurs, it was another night to forget as they struggled to break down a disciplined Bournemouth defence.
The game started with Tottenham dominating in typical Ange Postecoglou fashion, but they were unable to convert their early territorial advantage into meaningful chances.
Their best chance in the opening exchanges fell to former Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke, who fired over the bar after Huysen misjudged a long ball.
Moments later, Bournemouth punished Spurs for their wastefulness.

A well-delivered corner from Marcus Tavernier found Huysen at the back post and the defender made amends for his earlier error by firing past Fraser Forster to give the home side the lead.
The goal marked a turning point as Bournemouth began to grow in confidence while Tottenham looked disorganized and demoralized.
The Cherries could have doubled their lead before half-time.
Tavernier saw a close-range header brilliantly saved by Forster, who also had a goal disallowed for offside.
At the other end, Spurs’ attack lacked creativity, their only bright spark being Dejan Kulusevski.
James Maddison’s curling effort went close, but Kepa Arrizabalaga was seriously unhurt in the Bournemouth goal in the first half.
Spurs introduced Heung-Min Son after the break, hoping to inject some urgency, and they thought they had equalized when Son found the back of the net.

However, the offside flag was immediately raised and VAR upheld the decision.
Despite increasing possession, Spurs struggled to create clear-cut chances and their final ball often eluded them.
Bournemouth continued to threaten on the counter-attack and Dango Ouattara missed a couple of glorious chances to put them to bed.
Evanilsson also had a goal disallowed for offside after an errant shot fell kindly to him, but VAR intervened to disallow the Brazilian.
As the clock ticked into overtime, Spurs resigned themselves to defeat.
Their extra six minutes produced little and Bournemouth’s defense held firm to secure a valuable three points.
“Cherry” now leads Tottenham into the top half of the table.
Postecoglou’s men have lost six of their 14 games this season, as have Everton, Brentford and Crystal Palace.
