The Outer Worlds 2 gets the October launch date and a new trailer focused on the story

Obsidian gave players their first look at their next title, The Outer Worlds 2, in a new trailer at Xbox Games Showcase. The trailer showed more details about the story of the game, as well as the release date: it launches on October 29 in PC, Xbox and Game Pass. There was also more than a bit of the satirical adoption of the first game on capitalism, corporate culture and chaos in the trailer.

According to the trailer, players are an agent in the land management investigating uncontrolled ruptures, bringing them to Arcadia Colony, who is invading. The game store page describes the conflict: “The Arcadia colony is embroiled in a factor, as the protectorate’s rule is challenged by the rebellion of its religious order and a corporate invasion.”

The trailer also shows part of the game presented, with more dark humor that was like the basis of the first title. Players can recruit new companions, use a large number of new weapons and even influence the growth of the colony as it responds to their narrative options.
