Top App Games announced today that it has raised $10 million in investor funding, which it plans to use for two distinct activities: refining and improving its hit mobile game Ludus: Merge Arena and creating new titles. According to Top App, this fundraiser builds on one it received earlier this year from Vladimir Nikolsky of Utmost Games.
Ludus: Merge Arena, Top App’s mobile strategy RPG, has recently hit several milestones, including reaching 3 million downloads and $2 million in monthly revenue. In terms of revenue, Top App says, the game grew its daily active user base by 50%. A portion of the $10 million will go toward refining the Ludus user experience and launching new content.
The other main use of fundraising is to develop new titles. According to the developer, it has several games in the pipeline, currently in prototyping or internal testing. He plans to announce more details about one in particular soon: the only information he gave about this new game was that it’s “a humorous look at the unpredictable fusion of genres.”
Vladimir Markov, CEO of Top App Games, said in a statement: “The funding will be used to improve and promote our hit strategy RPG. the game that we will continue to develop and increase your income. In addition, I believe that Top App Games is now ready to attract new teams to create successful games.”
