Ukraine has accused Russia of weakening the next round of peace in Istanbul

Ukraine’s president has questioned the Russian commitment to progress in peace talks after confirmed that Moscow was sending a team to negotiate in Istanbul on Monday.

Russia does not have to send its talks proposals to Ukraine – this is a major demand for Keiv. Kremlin spokesman Dmitri Peskov said Moscow’s conditions would be discussed for a ceasefire in Turkey.

But Volodimair Jelensky Moscow alleged that “the next possible meeting is to make sure that the next possible meeting will not be fruitful.”

“If the meeting is to be meaningful, its agenda must be clear and the talks must be prepared properly,” he said. Ukraine sent its proposals to Russia, reiterating the “preparation for a full and unconditional ceasefire.”

Two weeks ago, the first round of talks in Istanbul made no progress, but the war swap was achieved.

Russian President Vladimir Putin launched a full -fledged attack on Ukraine in February 2022.

Russia currently regulates about 20% of Ukraine, including Southern Crimea Peninsula Moscow in 2014.

As the talks approached, both Russia and Ukraine reported the explosions on Friday night and Saturday morning.

In the Karsan area of Ukraine, three people were killed and 10 more were injured, said Olexander Prokudin, head of the area’s military administration.

On social media, “Russian military has reached critical and social infrastructure” and “residential areas of the colonies of the region”.

The administration said that a man was also killed in the Sumi area.

Officials said at least one person was injured in explosions in the cities of Kharkiv and Ezium.

Meanwhile, at least 14 people were injured in an explosion in the Russian Kursk region, according to a Russian state -owned news agency tos.

On Friday, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andrei Sibiha reiterated that Keiv had already sent his own “vision” to Russia, “he said,” accepting an unconditional ceasefire to lead to broad talks by adding Moscow.

“We are interested in going to continue this year because we want to end the war this year,” Sibiha said at a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan.

Putin and Jelensky are not expected to attend the talks on Monday.

But Fidon said he was finally hoping to host a high -level summit.

“We are honestly hope to bring President Trump, President Putin and President Jelensky to the table,” he said.

Peskov said the Russian ceasefire would not be publicly published in public, and only entertained the idea of the Moscow high -level summit if it had achieved meaningful progress in preliminary discussions between the two countries.

He welcomed the comments made by Trump to Ukraine, while retired Jan Keith Kellag, who described Russian concerns about NATO as “fair” as “fair”.

General Kellag said that the Ukraine table, which was joined by a long -awaited military alliance by Kaiv, was not on the table.

President Trump said he was “disappointed” as he described Russian hypersensitivity, but emphasized the need to keep the talks alive.

On May 19, Trump and Putin made a two-hour telephone call and stopped the fight to discuss the US-Proposed ceasefire agreement.

He believed that this call was “very well” gone, he said, “immediately start” and “the end of war” and talk about the talks towards the ceasefire of Russia and Ukraine.

Ukraine has publicly agreed to a 30 -day ceasefire but Putin has said that Russia works with Ukraine to make a “memory” in “future peace” in “future peace” – Kaiv and its European allies have explained that the techniques are delayed, so Russian forces may conquer more Ukraineian region.

Just a few days later, in a rare condemnation to Putin, Trump called the Kremlin leader a “totally crazy” and threatened US restrictions. Their opinions followed the largest drone in Moscow and a missile attack on Ukraine.

On Wednesday, Germany’s new Chancellor Friedrich Merge told Jelensky that Kaiv would help to protect himself from the future Russian attacks.

Kremlin said any decision to terminate the range of missiles that Ukraine could be used would represent a dangerous change in policy, which would harm the efforts of the war.
