Virtuix launches Omni One Core full-body VR system for PC gamers

Virtuixmanufacturer of the Omni brand of omnidirectional VR treadmills, has announced the launch of Omni One Core to deliver full-body VR experiences for PC gamers.

Adding to the Omni One product line, Omni One Core offers a fully immersive 360-degree VR experience, designed specifically for PC gamers who already own VR headsets and controllers.

Omni One Core offers an unprecedented total immersion experience. Users can walk, run, crouch, kneel, jump, move and even backtrack in virtual environments, allowing for unrestricted physical movement.

Aimed at gamers looking to enhance their VR experience, Omni One Core is compatible with all PC-compatible VR headsets, including Meta, HTC and Pico devices.

The Omni One Core comes with the essentials: an Omni One treadmill, a pair of shoe covers, foot trackers, and a Bluetooth dongle, but requires players to use their own headphones. The device connects to a PC via Bluetooth and integrates seamlessly with SteamVR’s vast library of games. The Omni One PC application emulates the motion input in those games, replacing hand controller input with physical motion on the Omni One treadmill.

The Omni One treadmill itself boasts a compact design of four feet in diameter. The system is designed for hassle-free assembly and disassembly, requires no tools and features integrated wheels for portability. As for safety, Omni One Core includes an adjustable support vest and a sturdy aluminum arm, ensuring users can navigate virtual worlds with confidence, without the risk of crashing into walls or other objects.

The Omni One Core is priced at $2,595, and the complete Omni One system, which includes a standalone VR headset, controller, and additional accessories, is now available for $3,495.

Founded in 2013 and based in Austin, Texas, Virtuix has raised more than $40 million to date.
