Armaan’s surprise proposal
The episode starts with Abhira admitting that she is stupid for breaking the bench where Armaan had lovingly written his name. Armaan brings a new name plate which makes her smile. He says: “You came to me as a responsibility, then you became my need and now you have become my life. If I have you, I have everything. Will you be my wife? Will you marry me?” She hugs him and replies, “You thought about this now? I thought my suggestion was nice, but you’ve outdone me.”
He replies: “Stop rating our proposals and answer me.” She teases: “As if you don’t know my answer. Yes.” He clarifies, “I mean, will you marry me tomorrow without the consent and blessings of the elders?” She drops the name plate and says, “You know I want to marry you, but…” He interrupts, “Just say yes or no.” She says “Yes.”
Planning a secret wedding
He attaches the name plate to the bench and explains, “We’re getting married tomorrow and then we’ll have our own house.” She asks, “Will we be separated from the family?” He replies: “You said you love me; then trust my decision.” She tries to explain, but he insists, “Dadi will never accept you. I can’t see you being offended. I love you.” She says, “I love you more. Try to understand; we should take this step.” Ruhi hears them.
Armaan says, “I will wait for you at the Radha Krishna temple tomorrow.” Ruhi returns home and declares, “I will tell everything to Dadisa.” Manisha stops her. Ruhi insists, “I have to talk to Dadi.” Manisha asks, “Is it important?” Ruhi replies, “It’s private; I can’t tell you.” Manisha says, “I feel sleepy. Mummysa had a headache; she took medicine and slept. Don’t disturb her. Behave well and talk to her in the morning.” Ruhi leaves.
Preparations and doubts
Armaan packs his bag. Abhira calls him. He says, “I know what you want to discuss. I will not change my decision.” She calls again and says, “I know you’re my family and I’m yours, but we can’t forget your family.” A box falls; she finds key chains, clicks a picture and sends it to him, sending a text: “I want love and family.” He replies: “Perhaps family is not in your destiny. We will form our new family.” He calls the realtor and asks, “Did you find the house? Send me details and pictures.
My wife and I will be moving tomorrow.” Vidya approaches Abhira with a dress and says, “This is for you.” Abhira wonders if Vidya knows about Armaan’s plans. Vidya continues, “It’s a special day for you and Armaan, your first Teej. Is there anything else?” Abhira replies, “No, only Teej.” Vidya says, “You fast for him and pray.” Abhira asks, “Will Dadi agree?” Vidya leaves. Abhira reflects, “You couldn’t convince Dadi; is Armaan right?”
Morning rituals and hidden plans
Armaan writes his name next to hers and says, “I am ready to spend my life with you.” Abhira thinks, I am ready to wait for Dadi’s consent. Ruhi comes and argues with her. Abhira asks her to leave and help someone else. Ruhi departs. Next morning, Rohit wakes up and asks Ruhi, “Do you apply chuna (slaked lime)?” Ruhi replies, “Yes, it darkens the mehendi color.” He asks, “Do you want to strengthen our relationship?” She says, “I am in your house, applied mehendi of your name and fasted for you. Need I say more?” He smiles and leaves. She thinks, “I have to talk to Dadi.”
Unexpected revelations
Manish and Surekha arrive at the Poddar house. He seems annoyed. Ruhi and everyone welcome them. A man approaches and says, “I want to meet Armaan and give this key.” Ruhi says, “I will give it.” He explains: “It’s for his new house. He said he would move there after getting married today.” She replies, “I’ll give it to him, thanks.” She thinks, “Armaan and you get married and leave this house? No, I can’t let this happen . I have to talk to Dadi.”
